AbsurDock playtest progress 6

Yuhh, the most important deadline to date, and even that one got missed, along with a delayed ass blog post. Turns out Steam takes about a work week to review a build, and i completely forgot to account for it. No plausible deniability here. The playtest now lands around October 17–20, depending on Steam.

Day 1503, no attention in sight…

What’s being done in the meantime?

I started pumping out concepts like i promised. The first one is “Sort a Pile”, a physics pile sorting game. It’s still not indexed on Itch (new Itch pages don’t show up in search until Itch reviews them), but thankfully i’ve got enough braincells left to remember Newgrounds, so it was posted there too and is yet to be graded. Yes, i published the Sort a Pile write-up before this post, but there was basically nothing to write about that prototype.

Lurk ‘N’ Load, an inverted hide and seek

Next up is a multiplayer concept prototype, releasing this week on Itch and Newgrounds. It’s an inverted hide and seek: the hiders hunt down the seeker before time runs out, but only after assembling a weapon while the seeker is busy hunting them. It looks rough, but it’s here to test the concept.

Next blog when…?

When the Steam playtest build gets approved, hopefully without issues, and i finally get to release it. Likely this week. My monthly r/playmygame slot went to Sort a Pile, so the playtest launch needs another home. Suggestions welcome via email.
